    C is off the wall. There isn’t any SIP when configuring MGCP on a call manager. MGCP gateway registers using MGCP (Not SIP). Also you don’t build a SIP trunk to an MGCP gateway.

    It is supported for DNs and presence entities. A presence entity is SCCP or SIP.

    A – ICOMM volume I page 5-22 “Support for SCCP lines, SIP lines, and SIP trunks” Also, in the link I posted page. It shows an SCCP phone with a SIP registration… So based on presence supporting SCCP, you can monitor the phone with presence. No where in that picture does it show an MGCP gateway. Figure 21-2.

    E – ICOMM volume I page 5-22 “Allows a watcher to monitor the real-time status of a directory number.”
