Passed with a 965 yesterday. The dump(only sections A,C,D) covers about 90-95% of the test questions. Regarding the IntServ/DiffServ question, know that IntServ is guaranteed and DiffServ is the preferred standard and offers scalability. The only other question I was completely unsure of was if LDAP integration was required for Personal Communicator. Thanks to Voicetut and everyone for their posts! Good luck!!!

@ Saif….no lab but know the diagrams and router screenshots from the Test King dump that is listed on this thread. There is the drag and drop ? from the dump…which lists the troubleshooting process steps.

hi, im planning for my exam in 3wks……how much of the CUCM do we need to know? like the what each button does etc? thing is that i dont have much experience with CUCM……any help will be appreciated

I think i will break my head for a small doubt… but this really bothers me..

I have 2 IP phones connected with PCs in its PC port. They are connected to a switch ports configured as voice and access.

I have 2 CMEs(2801) one acting as real CME and another only for DHCP purpose. DHCP pools are created for both VOICE and DATA networks.

Lets say VOICE VLAN is 10 and DATA VLAN is 20. The connection between switch and CME is IVR( i mean dividing the interface logically like fa0/0.10, fa0/0.20 …..).

If the connection between the switch and DHCP router is configured as a access line only fro VLAN 20(data network), it gives the ip for DHCP request of PCs.

To get IP for IP Phones, I have to configure a helper-IP in CME to forward the packets to DHCP router. Is this correct or am i imagining things?

Now comes the hard part of my doubt.

Can i configure the link between switch and DHCP router as trunk with IVR to get the IPs for IP Phones directly?

OR

Should i create seperate access link between switch and DHCP router for VLAN 10?

Will this work if i configure like above?

How are you studying for this exam??….

For example… I have already practiced with the CME and 2 softphones using a Virtual Machine. Then I have installed the CUCM 8.6 in a VM too…. However Im in a point where is not possible to install more VM in this case for the CUC and CUP…

I havent seen the vce exam, but does the exam include questions where you have to navigate in a web page similar to CUCM or just conecepts are necessary???

I cleared the 460-641 this morning. 953/1000. About 10 new questions guys Characteristics of voice,Video and Data. I went through then yesterday night, google them it is not exactly in the book also a drag and drop about H323,SIP, MGCP and SCCP. The options are completely different from that in the avi Exam E, i went through each one and try to get it right, the options are not clear. I don’t know if i got it right through. Otherwise exam A,C,E still valid about 75 % are still in exam. Guys make it quick i think there will be lot of new questions in the coming days. Go through the vce and voicetut. Thanks again for everything guys without you guys i would have never make it. Keep it up. Hope to see a few of you guys CCNA Security.

Got one new question that nobody mentioned before:
Which command will briefly shut down the phone to apply changes to configuration?
a: drop
b: restart
c: reset
d: shut and no shut
d: shutdown
I choosed answer b because I saw word “briefly” and thought that its just reworded question about fastest method of ip phone restart. But my answer is most likely incorrect because restart does not shut down phone even briefly, it only reloads configuration. So the right answer I think should be c: reset.

I think the correct is restart.The reason is the “briefly” keyword which I think is not mentioned in the question with no reason. A restart only reregisters the phone with Cisco CallManager, whereas a reset does a complete reinitialization of the phone. In the case of a reset, the phone fetches its configuration file again from the TFTP path, which does not happen if you restart the phone.In this case all it asks is to apply changes in config so I think a simple and fast restart is enough…

@ Vasyu restart is the quick action it just refreshes the ip phone in two seconds, but reset completely restartes the all settings of ip phone it takes 16 seconds shudown is and shut is no command there, so i think reset will be the best answer.

@Ali the answer is D, when the server takes from Active Directory then you will not find add new user, Active directory means LDAP so the ‘D’ is correct answer.

regarding your link practce for A, C and D session you will pass the exam according to the previous people who has recently passed.

i mean you have to first complete CCNP vice 5 papers then you can go for CCIE
well congratulation for CCNA Voice best of luck

There is no pre-requisite for a CCIE. You can go after it without passing any other Cisco Associate or Professional exams.

Previous 4 Q’s really do need some clarification. I purchased Pass4Sure and compared to dumps and researched the answers via Cisco documentation, CUCM 8.x Virtual Machine and Cisco Unity Connection Virtual Machine and can not find the “correct” answers, only conflicting answers. I will be testing tomorrow, Jan 31st. I’ll see if studying Parts A/C/D of the dumps are still valid. I’m scoring near 1000 on all tests (Pass4Sure and Dumps A/C/D). I will update this thread tomorrow afternoon for you folks. This site along with hands-on experience is a good resource. Thanks in advance!

There were 70 questions with a passing score of 783/1000.
I was getting 1000/1000 with practice tests A/C/D.
My official Cisco score was 976/1000
25 minuets to take the test.
No simulations. Drag and drops / exhibits mirror the new .186q.vce.file.html.

If you truly want to understand the technology and concepts get your hands on / 640-461 CBT Nuggets, a CUCM 8.x Virtual Machine and Cisco Unity Connection Virtual Machine and the odds be with you.

I take 640-461 on 2/1/12 and have been studying pass4sure and Flemivar. Is that enough to pass 640-461 on 2/1 12? Pass4sure hasn’t updated their software as of right now.

@sicurio you can find 8.0x on astraweb.com You will need a program like NewsLeecher or something similar. You’ll need to cough up about $11 bucks a month for access but you’ll find everything you need there.
