I am taking exam on 27 PLZ LET ME KNOW that the grey skull still valid

Cisco use lINUX in all of their voice devices, except CUCME. Which part of LINUX system is applied for cisco voice devices ? I have no clear idea about it. Can some one give some information about it. In CCNP VOICE , except 642-437 ( CLI), use only LINUX in all other modules. Thank you .

@williumg: what do you mean by all devices? Cisco only uses linux in CUCM and thats it. voicegateways, gatekeepers and switches all use Ios and not linux. if you consider Contact center then all the devices uses windows server.

Anonymous; thankyou for your comment. Really i don’t have clear idea about it. Some one said to me , most of the cisco devices use LINUX, particularly PERL. Like
..CISCO UNIFIED PRESENCE SERVER.
..CISCO UNIFIDE CONTACT CENTER EXPRESS.
..CISCO UNIFIED COMMUNICATION MANAGER.
..CISCO UNITY CONNECTION.
And all of ccnp number 642-447, 642-457, 642-427 and 642-467 are mostly based on linux system.
My know-how limitation is very limited . Please explain it more detail about it. Thank you verymuch.

@Anonymous CUCM is based on a hardened linux os. You cannot access a linux style command line unless you are root ( not possible without TAC assistance)

Having linux experience would not help at all.

@williumg Dont think it is possible to obtain the CUCM ISO without having a contract with Cisco, similar story for IOS which is more relevant for CVOICE, although if you buy a voice capabale router from ebay you can pull the IOS off the flash and keep it forever.

You can probably torrent CUCM ISO’s, I have never looked to be honest

Hi guys, I passed 642-437 Implementing Cisco Unified Communications Vice over IP and QoS, but this was a weird one. the passing score was 850 (?!), and there were around 10-15 new questions.

I studied Cisco.TestKing.642-437.v2012-08-24.by.grayskull.146q and I failed today with 834/846 as there was a lot of new questions.

@zaq, yes, I read it. But as I said there were around 10-15 new questions. So my advice to all of you is to learn and to know what you’re doing instead of memorize the questions only. I can remember some of the new questions.

Which command is used to display COR list and members?
What is the function of RTP?
Which protocols are peer-to-peer? SIP, H.323, MGCP, SCCP
Which of the phones are Bluetooth capable? (or something like this)

I don’t recall exactly but the ones listed by sipxpx are a few of the new ones. Reviewing the greyskull dump there was 33 questions of the 65 from the exam. The drag and drops were from the grayskull dump.

WTF ? of course I read and practice. Pass4sure is only a complement so that I pass the stupid thing. For the 4 new questions you posted, that’s exactly it. But more. More like 15-20. I hope an vie update comes quickly.

Same here, you are right sipxbx. Lots of new questions, the one you posted are some of them.
I used pass4sure and they failed me. Their questions were not up to date… at least 15 to 25.
I need to retake this in JAN please post VCE update someone. Have a great day everyone.
