Share your CVoice v8.0 Experience
The new “Implementing Cisco Unified Communications Voice over IP and QoS” v8.0 (CVoice v8.0) exam has come to replace the CVoice 642-436 and QoS 642-642 exams. This exam is new so it will need some time to put up materials for this exam. In the meantime, we create the “Share your CVoice v8.0 v8.0 Experience” for everyone to share their experience after taking this exam.
Please share with us your experience after taking the CVoice v8.0 exam, your materials, the way you learned, your recommendations…
I have found 2 different answers for this question. I believe its ‘d’ but Cisco has it down as ‘c’ I looked on pas4sure and its also has the question twice and with different answers…Does anyone know the real answer ?
What is the reason that an outgoing call succeeds when COR is applied to the incoming dial peer,
but no COR is applied to the outgoing dial peer?
A. The COR list for incoming calls on the incoming dial peer is a superset of COR lists for outgoing
calls on the outgoing dial peer.
B. COR lists for incoming calls on the incoming dial peer are not a superset of COR lists for
outgoing calls on the outgoing dial peer.
C. The outgoing dial peer, by default, has the lowest priority.
D. The incoming dial peer, by default, has the highest COR priority when no COR is applied.
Answer: C
C is correct since COR is applied to the incoming dial peer. The one from other dump had a question with no incoming dial peer applied , so the answer is D.
passed with 932. One advise: Don’t get stuck with the answers in the dump. You have to try to understand the reason why it is the answer. For example:
dial peer voice 1 pots
destination-pattern 555….
prefix 5
port 0/0/0:23
What will be the sent digits to PSTN if 5551234 is being matched with the outgoing dial peer?
a. 5551234
b. 1234
c. 555
d. 5
e. 51234
Ans. e.
But what about if you replace the word pots with voip and remove the prefix 5, what will be the sent digits.
Ans. a.
please i need answers for those two questions
Which codec complexity type will offer the greatest number of voice channels, provided that the
complexity type is compatible with the particular codecs that are in use?
A. low complexity
B. medium complexity
C. high complexity
D. flex complexity
the answer in dump is “A” but in page before this page (page 3) someone post it with answer D
Also this Question
Which of the following describes SIP Early Offer?
A. In SIP Early Offer mode, the SDP media capabilities are sent in the INVITE message of the
calling device.
B. SIP Early Offer always uses session indicator 183.
C. In SIP Early Offer mode, the SDP media capabilities are sent in the 200 OK messages of the
calling device.
D. In SIP Early Offer mode, the INVITE and the 200 OK messages use non-SDP message format
to indicate SIP Early Offer
A: in voicetut
B:in dump
Thanks alot!
Basim,
you cannot type complexity = low. you can only type complexity = flex, medium, and high. flex had the highest density of them all.
SIP Early offer is a. The one in another dump, the question is for SIP Early media , that’s why the answer is B.
Hi FSUp,,
well done on passing…I agree you should understand the questions rather than just answering them…hence why I asked my question regarding the COR list…I dont see your point regarding answer being ;c; from my knowledge it always ‘d’ …incoming dial peer always highest priority including if there is a cor applied on outward dial peers or not..Can you or anyone explain why you think its ‘c’
here is question again

I am booked to gain my Rich media specialist cert, which involves the Cvoice exam and I have prepared well for that with the Voicetut dump and my study. But as for the Rich media exam (642-481) does anyone know where I can get some help for this, As I can not even find a Cisco press book covering this let alone a dump ???? I held this exam 6 years ago when it was a new cert, and I had problems then as there was nothing to prepare me for the CRMC exam 6 years on and say issue remains…Any help welcome ?
Dear Friends
I have passed the exam yesterday with score 93.6% … nagamin.90q is still valid … Most question from the dump …. Please read the questions very well as they are sometimeschange 1 or more word which may affect the chossen answer … Try to understandthe question before answers …. Here is my notes about the questions:
1) Regarding this confusing question:
Which three of the following methods are used by a Cisco Unified Border Element to provide
network hiding? (Choose three.)
A. back-to-back user agent, replacing all H.323-embedded IP addressing
B. IP network security boundary
C. media flow-through
D. RSVP
E. IP network privacy
F. intelligent IP address translation for call media and RTP flows
I have this question in the exam twice …. can you belive !!!!!! the first version is:
Which three of the following methods are used by a Cisco Unified Border Element to provide
network hiding? (Choose three.)
A. back-to-back user agent, replacing all H.323-embedded IP addressing
B. IP network security boundary
C. media flow-through
D. RSVP
E. IP network privacy
F. intelligent IP address translation for RTP flows
and the second version is
Which three of the following methods are used by a Cisco Unified Border Element to provide
network hiding? (Choose three.)
A. back-to-back user agent, replacing all SIP-embedded IP addressing
B. IP network security boundary
C. media flow-through
D. RSVP
E. IP network privacy
F. intelligent IP address translation for call media and RTP flows
2)Regarding this question:
dial-peer voice 123 pots
destination-pattern 4087071222
direct-inward-dial
port 0/0/0:23
dial-peer voice 2123 pots
answer-address 4087071222
port 0/0/0:23
voice-port 0/0/0:23
I have this question in the exam also twice … one of them is the same as this version while the other as follow (as i remember)
dial-peer voice 123 pots
incoming called-number .
dial-peer voice 2123 pots
answer-address 4087071222
port 0/0/0:23
voice-port 0/0/0:23
I don’t remeber the choices but their are 2 choices that i thought about them:
b)Dial-peer 123, because incoming called-number takes precedence over answer-address
c)Although dial-peer 123 takes precedence, it will not be matched because the command direct inward-dial is missing.
i choose b
3)Regarding to the following question
dial-peer voice 1 pots
destination-pattern 555….
prefix 5
port 0/0/0:23
Refer to the exhibit. When 5551234 is being matched with the outgoing dial peer that is shown in
the exhibit, which of the following called numbers will be sent to the PSTN?
A. 5551234
B. 1234
C. 555
D. Null
E. 5
F. 51234
Answer: F
I have this question and also have another version from it which is:
Dear all
I click submit by mistake ….. let me continue:
I have this question and also have another version from it which is:
dial-peer voice 1 voip
destination-pattern 555….
session target ipv4:192.1688.1.10
Refer to the exhibit. When 5551234 is being matched with the outgoing dial peer that is shown in the exhibit, which of the following called numbers will be sent throught voip dialpeer?
A. 5551234
B. 1234
C. 555
D. Null
E. 5
F. 51234
Answer: A
4)Regarding the following question:
Which of the following describes SIP Early Offer?
A. In SIP Early Offer mode, the SDP media capabilities are sent in the INVITE message of the
calling device.
B. SIP Early Offer always uses session indicator 183.
C. In SIP Early Offer mode, the SDP media capabilities are sent in the 200 OK messages of the
calling device.
D. In SIP Early Offer mode, the INVITE and the 200 OK messages use non-SDP message format
to indicate SIP Early Offer
In the dumb, it asking about Early media so the answer is B while in the exam it asks about Early offer so the answer is A
5)Regarding to Q.39 (The drage & drop)
I really don’t have this question in the dump but i think that the right answer is the following
dial-peer voice 1000 voip
destination-pattern 1…
sessiontarget ipv4: 10.1.1.1
!
dial-peer voice 4000 voip
destination-pattern 4….
session protocol SIPv2
session target ipv4:10.1.130.1
because our friend taurus (page 2) cleared CUBE section with 100% and make this anser and also becuase i implement this configuration and worked with me on GNS3 very well
6) Also refer to our friend Cisco in page 3 …. His post is very useful to me
Finally i jsut want to thanks all our friends that share their experiance and best regards for those who will take the exam soon
Best Regards
I have prepared with live training courses, and the official pdf book…..used the 90q and questions Cisco gave on page 3, and understand the concepts….I will be taking the exam tomorrow…I will everyone know how it goes.
Thanks for everything!
Hi,
when i’m studying from this dump i see an error on this question:
Which QoS technology provides a strict priority queuing scheme that allows delay-sensitive data such
as voice to be dequeued and sent before packets in other queues are dequeued, and also works with
WFQ and CBWFQ.
A.header compression
B.IP RTP Priority and Frame Relay IP RTP Priority
C.RSVP
D.low latency queuing
E.FRF.12
Answer from dump is LLQ but i mean that’s B: LLQ doesn’t use WFQ but only CBWFQ unlike IP RTP
Let me know your meaning…
See the correction on page 3 from Cisco.
Confirm my meaning…
passed today with 910/1000. Strongly recomment taking into account all q&a that were published above. Seems I had all of them.
Ahmad,
You stated that you had a question twice with 2 variations and when i looked at them I see no difference..can you or anyone else explain
here is what you put :-
I have this question in the exam twice …. can you belive !!!!!! the first version is:

@ammo:
my meaning is that for two questions answer are: b,e,f
Let me know if anyone think other things..
Thanks Flo
I had that answer also but didnt see any difference in the question…I have my exam on Tuesday so will give feed back.
Can anyone tell me how many drag and drops were in the exam?
Hi Divad, I have not taken it yet but my guess it it will be at least one per section as there are no simulations or testlets.. I would take a stab at 10 D&D but will make on note on Tuesday
Hi ammo
Their is a difference between the 2 versions …. choice A is the one that make the 2 versions different ….. Note that, In the first version, choice A has H.323 while in the second version, it has SIP
Best Regards
@ammo
The difference is effectively in the 1st answer were SIP replace H323.
So there is 3 answer for question with H323 (B,E,F) and 4 for SIP (A,B,E,F)
Please read this page.
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/voicesw/ps6790/gatecont/ps5640/product_data_sheet09186a00801da698.html
Sincerly yours.
Flo for the the second version of question. it says to pick 3. you are saying which I agree with that (a) is also the right choice, but hat gives a 4 answers ??
@ammo
I think that when he reported the question here he copy-paste question and forget to change the number of answer, or he doesn’t remember exactly the correct sentence.
I downloaded the braindump 90q.vce.. but it is prompting for a password… Please provide the password to open it
I just finished the exam , with 910 points.
The nagamin 90questions still valid plus Cisco’s 16 questions plus 2 more. Thanks guys…
There was a question where They changed the options , the one with the jitter buffer , there was no voice garbled option.
There was question regarding the two sites with same extension numbers , but one DID , I put auto attendant.
Dear Flo
The 2 versions of the question posted here as i have them on the exam .. I don’t forget anything
Best regards
Taking exam in a couple of hours…I will let you know how the use of 90q and cisco press prepared me for exam and taurus page 2 and cisco page 3 of voicetut…
Come on
Dear all,
I am CCNA (data) which is expireing in this month, Can I give Cvoice 642-437 paper to renew it.
@Sulman
Yes you can… Every exam 642-xxx or 650-xxx recertify CCNA. But if you want to be CCNP Voice certified you must also pass the ICOMM exam to be CCNA Voice.
350 not 650 sorry
@Sridhar
Sorry but there is no pwd for this file… In fact, not for me
good luck ammo
is any body know if there is any voucher to retake the exam ?

Hi all.
Finished with mark of 910/1000
All questions from 90q and the new discussed here…
Really 2 questions about CUBE with SIP or H323 in first answer and really 3 choice…. Don’t understand cause with SIP in first answer 4 choice are possible
So go with CIPT1
Cheers
I’ve forgot: 7 minutes for the exam
Hi Flo and Guys…I passed with 949, did not get any new questions but did notice that there was some re-wording on questions so make sure you read questions properly. So the combination of Cisco press and 90q was enough.
Well done Flo….
Does anyone know if there are any other sites like this where I can get help for the Cisco rich media 642-481 as my job expects me to obtain my specialist exam ?
also If i want to obtain CCVP what exam do I need to add to my CCNP and CVoice ?
Thanks and good luck to anyone else taking exam and refer to Cisco’s answers on page 3 before you take exam as they will come up.
Ammo
kalid thank you
great ammo…
for ccno voice you must passed the icomm to be CCNA Voice first and after CIPT1 CIPT2 TVOICE and CAPPS…
Good luck for your rich media experience
I am giving Cvoice 642-437 on 19th Feb, Any change in paper,
@Ammo I have 90q but from where i can Cisco press docs….

Hello Friends,
Is there any link I can download Cvoice quick reference or can anyone mail me at brainiac0027@gmail.com
thaks all
I passed 9xx yesterday
@guest77 ! can you give us your input about your exam and if this dump is valid?
how many questions did u have? which exam dump did you use?
Thanks
Passed today with 9xx. The nagamin 90Q dump is still valid. Had 6 or 7 questions not in that dump. There was one new question not mentioned here yet. I don’t know the exact wording but just remember the following and you will answer it correctly:
When running RSVP based CAC, the CUBE routers must use media flow-through. Media flow-around is not supported in this configuration.
Thanks to all for posting here.
