Hi Guys, I failed today with a narrow margin. Though I was expecting to pass as most of the questions were from this dump or were very easy. Had only 60 Questions and around 8-10 Qs were not from the dump. Looks like several of the questions in this dump have wrong answers. Dont get scared, just warning to be careful and dont fail like me. Best of lukc

Hi Guys, Couldn’t make it and failed at 8 July. almost 8 questions were out of the dump. total 60 questions. so if you have any doubts with questions answer, you need to check first before exam. dump is NOT 100% valid

@ Anderson, I doubt if that would be a good one. That update was released on July 4th. And people have confirmed they were passing and old dump was still valid at that time and maybe even after. So i dont see the chances that it would have new questions.

@ Cole Well, I had around 8-10 questions which were new. But be watchful of the fact that they have changed the wording of some questions too. So those might look old but actually are new and you might end up picking the wrong option.

I think about 40%, because some questions appears the same, but were changed. And 60% are about new questions.
1 new question is like “the cucm cluster is a set of services shared, services dedicated between servers or only shared servers”, like this.
I failed because 1 or 2 questions… Close enough.

Probably about 10-15 new questions and a few that are re-worded. I commented on at least 1/3 of the questions because they were just not worded correctly, one of them mentioned a partition requirement but didn’t mention the partition, multiple possible answer. Overall the test is actually the worst one I have ever taken in terms of quality.

interested on this feedback i sit monday next in europe but i think it is not possible cisco will have different tests at different locations like for monek in brazil. i think it will be same test for each person. so if anyone else can also feedback ther recent experiences that will be of most help.

You are right about confusing/ incorrectly worded questions. but who cares if you fail no one is going to accept there was an error in the way question was worded 🙁 .. Can you share some ideas on the reworded or new questions?

had exam yesterday also I only fail by only 1 or even part of a q 🙁 i would say 10 completely different q’s with 5 that had wording changed but if you know dump well you should figure out answer. answer order also changed in some q’s but if you know dump this is ok too. know how phones are configured to call manager group / and how attempt to register > few q’s on this alone! seemed to be mostly q’s on media/mgrl so know that topic. also new q on call manager cluster as monek says above. something like ‘is a cluster a networked or shared servers with different servers or shared servers for processing/applications’ they all seemed correct to me depending on version of cucm and built environment you have so revisit architecture I suppose on this topic. just seem to be them new few tricky q’s that need answered Ciscos way or NO way

Apparently Melinda dumps are out of date / no longer valid. Not first hand knowledge, but just read up on the site

Helooooooo Guys am too much happy i cleared this exam today with 980. Am gonna share u file link download it and i pointed some mistakes in comment bar of pdf. All questions were from dumps.
Follow mine instructions……

1. Q no 102 and 359 both are correct both came in exam.
2. Q 64 is wrong look at q 353 correct..
3. Q 136 has wrong answer that question come twice and I answer both time with Choice C (Go through list from 1st to last).
4. Q 90 DHCP configs also wrong q 366 is correct so follow that one.
5. Some question that I highlighted was for mine study they are correct nothing to do with them
6. Question no 8 is wrongly answered answer is A look q 348 with correct answer…

Note:- MTP in cucm has 3 choices and mtp in ios has 2 choices both are correct study them carefully.

All media resources questions correctly answered in this file so dont worry. New question are from 346 to 366. I got 10 question from that range.

There are a lot of questions about CUCM 5 and 6 on this version of the exam (from Ansar’s link above) Can anyone confirm that Cisco is still testing on CUCM 5 / 6 when we are working with v10/11 today?

@justhelping its ver 8 really the collob exam is v 10.
took both cipt 1 and tshoot while voicetut was down and 366 new qs are valid extra q’s although i think some older question are still wrong and not updated. the latest media groups are wrong too. and im not sure if the redundancy q should be A (just 2 severs or B 3 servers!) i got 85% in that part and i answered B. remember for media groups …every group is used up first before moving to the next in the list. tshoot latest dump is valid too.

hi all, why dont you guy check the mediafire folder i shared in my previous post, the dump there is 366q, with 20 new questions which were I actually faced in my exam 2 weeks ago, i passed with 844 anyway, without this update. check it out guys, no virus, free work to share

yes thanks ken it is the exact same dump i’m querying on. so anyone that downloads it can check out the questions above and let me know your thoughts! ken can you remember what what you chose from the above queries in your exam….and what % for the sections did you receive? there are some wrong ones in the 20 q update i believe so just querying these above. 844 is maybe only 1 or part of a question above the pass rate so i think students would be more confident if we could see higher scores to allow room for error on the day. media let me down with 67% so i will keep my answers for all sections apart from the media section i think (even though i know some of these are wrong in cisco’s eyes) but after much research i’m still not confident on the few above

it says under redundancy options that a pub/sub combo should be used if < 1250 users. if more than 1250 that a primary and backup subscriber are recommended. in this question im inclined to agree with B as answer so as not to overwhelm the publisher that is also carrying out the tftp services for the 7500 phones?

technically the servers support 7500 users and would probably work if tftfp load was low..but i dont think cisco would have a correct answer that is a bad way of doing things!

under server cluster maximums it states ‘ two tftp servers required if endpoints in cluster exceed 1250’

so even answer C is looking like an option in q348. i cant find the info anywhere yet wasting so much time

im more moving to C as the choice for q348 now:

q354 > the more i look at it answer is A. see q74 from the 345 paper. it mentions (none) partition and the answer is B.

q355 > i think actual test have got this wrong. mikes assessment seems correct to me.

q356 > i think rtmp for this

q357 > honestly another badley worded question. I also think A not D as it asks about characteristics of the group not device.

cannt remember my answers as at that time, I only guessed and believed in my knowledge about CUCM. i got 67% on media resource as well, so check out those even in the old 345q
and i got 844 with some similar answers as new 366q, because i’d checked right away when I had the 366q, still need to understand all by yourself guys
this is what i commented on examcollection web after I sat the exam:
pay attention on these:
– ordered list of CUCM server: subscriber1, publisher, subscriber2 : i encounter this question twice, no idea why, but i answered both with answer: go through list from first to last server, not like answer in dump. Dont know if I’m right, but i’ve got 85% for cluster part and 100% for CUCM support on-cluster calling
– audio stream and media resource operate with CUCM: encouter twice, once with RTP option in answer and other without that one. I’ve got 67% for media resource part, so be caution, some of media resource related answers are wrong.
– conference choice: which is the 6th conference use with diagram where HW-CFB-1 HW-CFB-2 SW-CFB-1 SW-CFB-2 are all supporting 2 conf. remember load balancing here (i find one wrong answer in the dump). ( i chose the last conference bridge as I thought there is load shared here, not sure if hardware n software have the same load shared mechanism, but sure hardware has as noted in cipt1 book)

and from examcollection web, a guy passed CIPTV1 with high mark with same answers for questions as he faced in his CIPT1 exam which he failed before, confusing, anyway, check the correction all media resource questions and you’ll be fine

guys also going through these im confused over the sip/mgcp question q274.

answer says A sip for standards based centralized deployment model but sip is peer-to-peer or distributed. MGCP is centralised client/sever protocol. in my book clear states this.

the only thing i can think of is that the question asks for centralised ‘deployment model’ not centralised ‘protocol’.. does deployment model mean cisco are talking about the dial plan is centralised on the router? in which case sip would be centralised like h323 and mgcp would not as cucm holds its dial plan.

also guys media question as ansar stated (Q no 102 and 359 both are correct both came in exam.) and he gets 980.
but why not E. the last option E that mike talks about is on page 354 of my cipt1 cisco press book under audio conferencing saying: ‘ there is no direct ip phone to ip phone audio stream with media resources involved in the call flow’ if anyone wants to clarify why this is?

@ philzs its just the extra 20q from 345 – 366 on the 366paper. please read the above posts and let us know your thoughts on a few tricky ones if you can. its been valid past month the extra 20 were released a few days ago but i have seen these on my last attempt

yes the extra 20 have been on the exam since julys changes but only released in the 366 update about 5 days ago. all the other qs are from the 345 paper so looking through it hasnt really helped me any as i still have queries on the above q’s that im hoping for help on here. i failed media section with 67% but still would answer them the same way! i cant (after lots of research) understand why some choices are being made and some not as they are relevant in either srnd or cisco press books.

marko i think B for cost effectiveness just because i had 85% score in the first part and i know i answered the dhcp wrong by choosing os admin instead of cm admin. if i had a lower score i would probably go for C too as A just seems a bad way to design something for 7500 users..no matter if cost is the main driver you still need to build it correctly

MOH designates a music on hold server. MRG designates a media resource group.

•MRG_D comprises MOH_D.
•MRG_S_D comprises MOH_S and MOH_D.

Media Resource Group Lists

MRGL designates a media resource group list.

•MRGL_D comprises MRG_D.
•MRGL_S_D comprises MRG_S_D and MRG_D (prioritized order).

Nodes

•Dallas node comprises phone D and MOH_D.
•San Jose node comprises phone S and MOH_S.
•Assign phone D audio source ID 5, Thank you for holding or plain music (for both user and network hold), and MRGL_D.
•Assign phone S audio source ID 1, Pop Music 1 (for both user and network hold), and MRGL_S_D.

User Hold Example

Phone D calls phone S, and phone S answers. Phone D presses the Hold softkey. Result: Phone S receives “Thank you for holding” announcement or plain music that is streaming from MOH_S. Conference 3 will use the HW-CFB1. The mechanism is , conference 1 uses HW_CFB1, conference 2 uses HW_CFB2 as there is load shared (in the cipt1 study guide quotes that, they use an example to explain, check it carefully), then conference 3 will use HW_CFB1 as there is available resource in HW_CFB1 (it is able to handle 2 conferences). conference 4 will use SW based MR, so on
in the exam, i faced a question with 2 conf for each HW1 HW2 SW1 SW2, asked which one conference 6 use, i chose 6 as thought load share applies to SW based MR as well, but in the 366q, they choose SW1, no idea

@ justhelping yes ken is correct see my post above also querying the dump answer… autualtest are wrong. follow the round-robin format within a group.. move to next group only when first group is exhausted.

@philiz this question is no longer valid. the 366q dump has many q’s from ver 5 and ver 6 this exam is ver 8. Ive not seen this on my previous 2 attempts. see nearlys post above for the 345q questions seen. i will post up what qs I seen from notes in a week when i take this again.

@ just helping the hw and sw conf bridges will both be round robin/load-balanced within each group.

if hw and sw are in the same group they are treated the same and still be round robin/load-balanced. this is why cisco recommends to split your hw and sw into two seperate groups so you can force hw or sw to be used first by ordering the groups 1st or 2nd in the MGRL

ive booked exam for friday i will report back on finish with results. im still not confident on qestions 354/357/359 anyone advice for these?

Which certification are you giving 642-447 or 300-070??

@ abdul yes correct loadbalance within the group no preference is made between hw or sw. you can only prioritise the groups when they added to the mrgl in whatever order you choose.
im taking 642-447 as im not much experienced with video aspect…although 300-070 is supposed to be a very much easier paper to complete.

guys has anyone any thoughts on q’s 354/357/359 from the 366q? or has anyone now completed 642-447 with good media score and let me know what your choice was?

x2020 is in HQ
x4001 is in Branch

x2020 can make a call to x4001 successfully
x4001 to x2020 receives a fast busy

This question is repeated at least twice.
First, the answer is “the h323-gateway-voip bind srcaddr 10.3.130.1 command has been omitted from BR2 config”

Second the answer is “A CSS has been omitted from the trunk configured to BR2”

So, which one is it, is it because the bind srcaddr missing, or is it “A CSS has been omitted…”

Personally, I believe it is the h323 issue, but any input would be welcome.

@ DriverK is this one that will be to check the configuration also? then that’s where the answer will lie. so they probably have different configs setup and you’ll just need to check what is missing if its bind src add or css on the trunk then it will be obvious on the day and choose that.
