Friends, I have a question in the statement below:

I do this stuff daily for my job and I am literally looking at a phone configuration in CUCM right now as I type. B, D and E are all fields that are found on the general phone configuration page. Once you click on a directory number to enter its configuration page, you can set A, C and F. Route Partition is found right under Directory Number at the top of the page. Auto Answer is found just a little down, in the same section where CSS, voice mail profile and a few other options are set. The Max Calls field is found at the bottom of the page along with busy trigger.
So this question, as is, should be Choose Three.

I think the confusion lies in how you access the directory details. If you select directory number from the call routing tab max calls is not an option, only partition and auto-answer. You have to select edit line appearance to see max-calls.
Alternatively if you look for a phone and select it and then select the DN you will see all three options.

This is tricky as you bring up a good point. A and F are definitely on there, as I’ve been managing our CM system and Max calls is the last option. But Auto Answer is an option. This isnt the first time I’ve seen a question ask for 2, but have 3 as valid answers.

Also I checked the Directory Number under Call Routing, and in there I don’t see Auto Answer or Max Calls as an option, only Partition.
Its when I go to a Device/Device Profile, then line/add a new DN do I see those other options, and as mentioned Partition, Auto Answer and Max Calls are all present.

I do this stuff daily for my job and I am literally looking at a phone configuration in CUCM right now as I type. B, D and E are all fields that are found on the general phone configuration page. Once you click on a directory number to enter its configuration page, you can set A, C and F. Route Partition is found right under Directory Number at the top of the page. Auto Answer is found just a little down, in the same section where CSS, voice mail profile and a few other options are set. The Max Calls field is found at the bottom of the page along with busy trigger.
So this question, as is, should be Choose Three.

Route Partition, Auto Answer, and Maximum Number of Calls are all configured on the Directory Number Configuration page. It’s right there in the table of parameters.
@Brad,
I think the confusion lies in how you access the directory details. If you select directory number from the call routing tab max calls is not an option, only partition and auto-answer. You have to select edit line appearance to see max-calls.
Alternatively if you look for a phone and select it and then select the DN you will see all three options.

This is tricky as you bring up a good point. A and F are definitely on there, as I’ve been managing our CM system and Max calls is the last option. But Auto Answer is an option. This isnt the first time I’ve seen a question ask for 2, but have 3 as valid answers.

I believe SIP is the safest choice. From what I’ve seen on our system only some of the older phones are SCCP. All the newer ones, 3rd party and voice units use SIP. The voice ones could use H323, but then it wouldnt be connected to Call Manager and would be a stand alone system.
Also I checked the Directory Number under Call Routing, and in there I don’t see Auto Answer or Max Calls as an option, only Partition.
Its when I go to a Device/Device Profile, then line/add a new DN do I see those other options, and as mentioned Partition, Auto Answer and Max Calls are all present.

I verified this on work since we have CUC. There is no such command as set network name-service. The only possible commands from the choices are “domain” and “dns”.
