So glad it is over lol.

This is what I did over about 4 months after work mostly and on weekends.
Maybe I could have done it earlier but I wanted to be really ready.

I read the entire CCNA Voice 640-461 book about 6 times and did the quiz for each chapter.
When I was bored of reading I would watch the cbt nug videos

Then I did all the most recent dumps on this site and referred back to the book and google etc, when i didn’t believe the answer.

That is it, you can do it in a lot less, but that worked for me and I feel like i know it, rather than just memorized it.

Took the exam today there where around 10 new questions compared to 173q by avi but this should not be a problem if you studied the book, i passed with 942 points 783 points is the passing score.

I passed exam today. My score is 965. All questions from A exam ( dump – Cisco.Testking.640-461.v2011-08-20.by.Avi.173q.vce ) were there. The dump is steel valid. thank you very much. There were no new questions, just from this dump and from this forum. Be careful, there are mistakes, but I don’t know in witch one.

Congrats Kolyan! I did passed the exam a few hours ago, with 965 too! Yeah, same exam A dump and questions in this forum. There was with the CSS, need to choose 2 answers, however I forgot the choices. Just review the definition and concept for css. Oh and yeah, review exam D on the dump as well.

Question regarding exam D.

There is one qustion about QoS reporting and none of the possible answer are shown. It would say that QoS and directory are the correct answers.

Any advise ?

Another issue is that the answer from the Int/Diffserv question are not matching, as well as the drag and drop. Even there is a question about phone a cannot communication with Phone B. Also those answer are not matching with the question.

Any advise on those ?

made it yesterday and passed 976. My colleague was next and passed 965. FIrst of all thanks to contributions here. Here my experience from the exam.

!!!!! New question !!!!!

IP phone is trying to registering and is the rebooting without successfull registering. As Administrator you are discover that the Phone is in a different subnet. What could cause this problem:

A: CUCM Manager is not working
B: The DHCP server is handing out wrong IP addressed
C: TFTP server has issues
D: The Phone is in a different VLAN

Dont remember the other options or correct wording

I had only one DnD (TS process) but more interesting is that my colleague started the exam at same time on a terminal next to me had an different exam. The main questions were the same. HOwever he didnt have the new question as mentioned above and questions that I hadnt. Also the order of questions were completely different.

In addition I notice that the questions about int & diffserv had complete different options as mentioned in testking and the 10 additional questions. So this also has changed compeltely.

So read the questions very carefully for any changes in the answers/options.

Passed with a 976. Here’s what I did:

Read the book several times. Did the Pearson quizzes till I answered them all correctly.

Took the Boson test till I answered all questions correctly.

Took the “176” exam A and Voicetut tests till I answered them all correctly.

Took the Cisco Learning Network tests till I answered them all correctly.

Most importantly, Built a CME (version 4.1) out of a 2620XM and a 2950 switch from scratch. Installed 2 7912 IP phones, 2 regular phones via FXS, dialtone via FXO and an IP Communicator softphone on a laptop. Connected up to Flowroute (SIP telephone provider) over the internet and bought 4 DID’s in 4 different area codes. Practiced every command and every feature I could until I could do them with my eyes closed.

In retrospect, I probably could have passed without the Call Manager, but I really wanted to learn this, not just pass the test. I’m glad I did it the way I did. The thrill of making and receiving calls over that SIP connection was really more than I expected. Most of what you need to know to set up something like this is not in 640-461, but is actually in 640-460.

I recommend you folks to really get some hands on with this technology. I’ve been doing PSTN for years and am ready to move into VoIP now!

I think the answer to the subnet question above is D – phone is on a different VLAN. Remember, Vlans, subnets, and broadcast domains are the same thing.

Remembering from my exam the question was about
Which command can be used the see if network traffice is received at the PSTN gatway:
A:show gateway status
B:show isdn q931
C:show isdn status
D:show isdn q921

I think its not an easy to answer.
In fact you can see the status of digital line with sh isdn and respective show dial peer voice summary for analogue lines.
The gateway itself can be shown with show gateway but not with show gateway status.

Regarding the QoS question:

Before the exam I checked with the ICOMM book. course mat and on the CUCM at work. There definetaly no partition or list on the QoS report but a QoS field. The second answer would be directory, however they are calles orgi & dest number in the report.
In fact the fields are as follows:

there only 170 questions in this dump, i don’t have idea if there 10 question dose added or not
but what i would say i had took my exam in 25/11/2011 and i repaired to my exam from this above dumps only …. this dumps still valid and very help full. all my exam’s questions from it except only one question… if read this dump carefully I can guarantee success for you .

there are 4 exams in that dumps file. A – 60, B 90, C & D up to 13.

But you really don’t need to use that particular file. All questions are posted here on this web under 640 461. Copy them into txt and print out and study from paper.

btw, guys & gals, dumps can make you pass exams but don’t forget to really study. Official cert guide is available on torrents, cbt nuggets is another great source of knowledge. Link to both can be found here so take time and read at least these pages completely.

Is there a way i can add an external DHCP server on CUCM. Setup i am using for practice is >>

VMWARE CUCM 7.0 >> and IPblue Softphone which i need to register to CUCM. but he problem is that when i start ipsoftphones they dont pic IP address i am not sure what wrong i am doing default net card i am using is VM1 also i am able to ping my comp IP address from ping UTIL on CUCM .. please suggest any help
