hi just pass the CIPT-1 today… 941.. thanks to voicetut…

passed 976 no new questions Elnus 169 and Samba qustions are enough to pass it but in dumps are still some wrong answers but which one I realy do not know.

most questions were from Elnus +14, but some of the answers are wrong here .
when i finished the exam i had the expectation of 950 and above marks but …..

just little advice to u all please read the CBT videos, because the the questions scenario will be change try to be cool during exam dont take it easy as i did.

I am going to retake the exam next monday.

I would have thought C=7. I see the following Partitions:
Managers, Executives, Assistants, Plain_Employees, Local_and_Service, LongDist_and_International, and Premium. (I ignored the incoming calls statement as a red-herring.)

I am not from the USA, so perhaps I don’t understand your number plan fully.

Wait, I think I have it – please confirm.
Managers, Executives, Assistants, Plain_Employees, and ONE partition for all PSTN numbers. Restrictions are then effected using 9.@ as a pattern and FILTERS on the ROUTE PATTERNS dialled.

the answer is 5, and here is why: look at the dialed entities not dialing entities, so local and service numbers should be in one partition (this is one), international and LD calls should be in one partition (this is two), Premium numbers sould be in one partition (this partition 3) as all other PSTN numbers are included in partition 1 & 2, Executives should be only dialed by admins so they should be in seperate partition than others employees (this is 4), and finally all incoming calls will be rerouted to extensions, and this is normal as we should have all extensions (except of exeutives) to be reached by other extensions and trunks (and this would be number 5).

When the phone set CFA(Call Forward All) to the extesion 5000, the phone will use the CSS of the CFA Destination for call search, not the line CSS or the Device CSS . If you set the CSS on line, device and Call forward than the priority of CSS are followed:
1. Call forward
2. Line
3. Device
After that the phone will search in partitions in CSS Fwd and will select the first partition Admins and because the phone B has the partition Admins the phone B will ring.

In my opinion you are right: you would get a fast busy because there are no more conference resources available. In Actual Tests I ALSO saw the SAME question but for phone 4 instead. THAT would use D – DW_CFB_2. I think there was confusion between two questions.

If you have different CSS for line and device the priority for CSS for dialed number will be:
1. Line
2. Device

I don’t have special reference book I used classical books for CIPT1 (avialable on net), you have to watch CBT, there you will find answers for your questions. Also it is good if you have some experience with non voip technology at core layer (TDM, GSM, PBX)
Regarding MRG for conference call you also have priority for MR Lists (order in CUCM) and load balance for MR groups within MR Lists.

Anyone try the latest P4S? Also, Samba is a post on the first comments page with some questions, not an actual dump.

No Simulation, All the question are from Elnus and Samba. I had Third Party SIP phone register with CUCM twice. I had selected one of the option TLS user id. in both question. Looks like that’s not correct answer. Please verfiy that.

About Third Party SIP phone register with CUCM question there are 2. First one registers to CUCM 5.0 ——> digest. second one register to CUCM 6.0——–> TLS, plus another answers that are the same for both 5.0 and 6.0. I have to say that i´m not sure about this, any tips???

I´ve passed a half hour ago with 976 marks. Questions are the same like 169q 14q. The order was changed in some q. Also study 104q. I had Third Party SIP phone register with CUCM twice like RHP Idón´t know where i failed. thanks everybody for your supply.

@Voicedude at examcollection you can get the diferent dumps of many vendors. There are the latest dumps for this exam.

There you also have 1 dump with 104q. Be careful and read the coments of people here, because some questions are wrong. I think no more about 3 or 4.

I just passed the exam with 953 points, all questions from Elnus_169 + samba’s 14. I got a questions twice about where route patterns point to ( route list & gateway) and one drag and drop was confusing…

Question drag and drop: Administrator interested in Cisco Unified IP Phone 7970G.

Display logs of alarms which indicates erros or other conditions: Debug display
Displays information about network traffic to and from the PC port on the phone: Access (This was repeated twice in the question).

Anyway I passed! thank you for your feedback and I’ll look forward for your CIPT2 comments. 🙂

Just passed the CIPT1, Voicedude is right, Elnus and 14 Ali are sill actual. Just one comment regarding the Nurse Doctor Admin from the 14 Ali. The question was like this: Doctor should have the right to watch the Nurse phone, but Nurse does not watch the Doctor phone. Also, Admin must have rights to watch the rest phones. So, the right answer is Nurse, Doctor, Admin. Please be aware with the registration SIP phones with CUCM 5 and 6. I guess I did mistakes with these kind of questions, so the score is not 1000.

Can install CUCM manager on Virtual Box, I try but receive infrormation like “Hardware not supported” … (allocate 80GB, 2 GB RAM, 2.2 GHz CPU)

I just started preparing for CIPT 1 exam. I installed CUCM v7 in VMWare Workstation.

It works. I can access it with Windows Explorer, Firefox and Opera.

The problem I have is that it takes too many attempts to connect.

I am getting the the message from Firefox:

The connection has timed out
The server at 192.168.1.10 is taking too long to respond.

Please advise me what I can do to make easier to connect to CUCM!!!

How I can prevent connection timing out???

Probably changing some timers??

I am NOT using DNS instead I hardcoded the IP address of the CUCM.

Also when I installed CUCM v7 I have chose the option not to use DNS.

It is very frustrating because for every successful attempt to connect
you have at least 50 connection timed out.

I know CUCM is no designed to work on VMWARE.

I tried different settings on VMWARE network adapter but makes no difference.

I will apreciate any feedback.

@ Anonymous : You can ask concern people in the exam centre, is that possible to reprint the score sheet. Tell them when you have took the exam with time.

@ Phantom_99: Have you changed the Ethernet NIC Speed and Duplex or MTU Size while installing, that should be default.
I got the same problem like you when i changed those values from default once while installing in MCS servers.

Cleared CIPT1 with 955/1000. dumps are still valid. Go for it before it expires.

The question is how to make CUCM respond faster in order connection not to time out.

Because it takes to long for CUCM to respong I think we should
change something in VMWare’s config but I don’t have idea what!!!

It is strange haven’t seen anyone mentioning this problem because a lot of us are using
VMWare to install CUCM.

there are two Qs are easy to confused people, they are similar to 3rd party SIP phone configuration, but those two are asking from CUCM perspective, what’s the steps to configure CUCM to support 3rd party SIP phones. so pls pay attention with the question itself.

I found one mistake in the dump. There is a question which says :
Refer to the exhibit. You have six IP phones making six conference calls. Which Conference resource will conference 4 use.
dumps answer: SW_CFB2
Correct answer: SW-CFB1
Explanation from CIPT1 book

there are six conference bridges:
HW_CFB_1: For the example we assume that is has capacity for 2 conferences.
HW_CFB_2: For the example we assume that is has capacity for 1 conference.
SW_CFB_1: For the example we assume that is has capacity for 1 conference.
SW_CFB_2: For the example we assume that is has capacity for 1 conference.
SW_CFB_3: For the example we assume that is has capacity for 1 conference.

HW_CFB_1 and HW_CFB_2 are in MRG_HW-CFB, SW_CFB_1 and SW_CFB_2 are in
MRG_SW-CFB and SW_CFB_3 is not assign to an MRG.
MRGL MRGL_CFB has MRG MRG_HW-CFB listed before MRG MRG_SW-CFB.
If you assume that six conferences are established from devices which all use the MRGL
MRGL_CFB, the conference bridges will be allocated in the following way:
The first conference uses conference bridge HW_CFB_1. The second conference uses
conference bridge HW_CFB_2 because the resources within an MRG are load-shared and not
used in the configured order. Due to the load-sharing algorithm, the third conference uses

Passed CIPT1 a few mins ago. Elnus 169+14 still valid. The latest actual tests is also good. I studied both but there’s no need for that. Just Elnus + 14 or the latest actual test.
