Hi guys, I will take tha exman tomorrow so would like to check two question:

Q1:
In Which mode is CTI use for Cisco Unified Personal Communicator?
A. Softphone Mode
B. Deskphone Mode
C. CTI Mode
D. IP Phone Mode.

Answer: B, because CTI is use for control IP Phone from the Personal Communicator

Q2:
A user in Cisco Unified Communications Manager Administration has been added to the Standard CCM Admin Users group, which includes the Standard CCMADMIN Administration role, but the user cannot add new users. What is the cause of this issue?
A. The add user capability has been disabled for the group
B. The incorrect group and role were assigned.
C. The add user capability has been disabled for the role.
D. Only theCCMAdmin user can add users.
E. Users can be added only via LDAP

Answer: C, because Standard CCMADMIN Administration have administrator priviliges so then the capability have been disable

I just finished the CCNA Voice exam 640-461 with more than an hour left in the exam.
there were no surprises, and i mean no surprises. It was exactly like the Lead2Pass 101 question vce. Just no that vce backwards and you will do fine. Now on to CIPT 1 and 2. Thanks Voicetut and 9tut I would noT have been able to do it without you.

With respect to voice sim use GNS3 or you can try packet tracer, GNS3 may b better. CCNA Voice book, I have been using the ICOMM volume 1. Training videos, CBT nuggets with Jeremy Cioara (this will really help). And of course practice questions on voicetut and exam collection. Thats what I am using right now for my exam which is next week. If you can get to physically set up some equipment, it helps.

Yes my friend you will become ccna voice certified 🙂 As our cisco tutor explained (Jeremy Cioara) the 640-461 was designed to equip persons with ABIT of knowledge on all cisco voice equipment, just enough knowledge to implement and work with them.

To Fletch and Ben, exam 640-461 is only the introduction to Cisco Communications. The CCNA-Voice exam is a different one, but 640-461 is a requirement prior to CCNA-Voice (I think is 640-432). I just passed the 640-461 last Thursday, and only received one new question that I can’t recall. Had to do with call control. I also had one question twice (one dealing with the Version 7 and one with the Version 8) using the same format of the controversial question about how to establish a use JDOE name (UPJDOE if version 7, and no requirement standard for use name if version 8) but this time was for when to use the given configuration of that diagram … the one under version 7 was to be used when sertting ver7 as softphone. Good luck every one, the dumps, Actual test, and Voice TUT are all valid.

I agree with Paul there are good teachers and there is crap. Some of the peolpe I have worked with over the years (I have been teaching for years) I would not employ! It was only this morning that I was discussing which of my colleagues I would employ 2 out of the 12 max.Just because someone is an expert at something does not mean they can teach it. I remember when i was doing my degree we had research assistant take the analysis techniques (maths) class. She knew what she was talking about but couldn’t teach it to save her life.I also agree with Roberto it is better to learn from someone who is doing it/has done it rather than some academic. Another example, the first question i asked my Business Skills tutor was whether he had ever run his own business No. How could he teach me anything? From books!i don’t want to blow my own trumpet but I know i can get the best from my students. And the reason I am doing the CCNP and want to get into Contracting is to give me enough credibility & real-world skills to teach the bloody thing one day in the not too distant future.

The correct answer is b….. The reason is as follows:

CUPC can control the user’s desk phone to place calls. The IP
phone must be registered with CUCM and associated with the user. CUPC uses Computer
Telephone Integration Quick Buffer Encoding (CTIQBE) for IP phone control…

Your welcome, its not the best book but it will work, it did for me. Passed today with a whooping 975.
Guys you all don’t have to worry, voicetut and the vce file uploaded by pajarakuttan is all you need. Actually if you want to just get the CCNA voice credential just use and memorize the two BUT if you really want to gain the knowledge and get a better job with it like me you should do what I did and go through training videos(CBT recommended), use the text to understand key concepts, use a simulator and if possible work on some real equipment. Upon passing the exam today I already got two job offers! One of the potential employer did an interview with me on the spot to see if I really knew what I passed, and he is a CCIE.

How often do the dumps update?…

Well am CCNA and CCNA voice certified now which road should I take? I think am gona go back to routing and switching CCNP as a coworker gave me the nuggets. I dont have the luxury of time and money to do the ccnp voice and I have to finish my Bsc this year, I have three months before the final semester to do the ccnp r&s…….or microsoft?? anyway here I come digitaltut!!

The answer is shown as C. But you can’t edit the capabilities from a standard role, so how would that be the answer?

sat for the exam yesterday and scored 953. Panjarakuttan 82q’s are 100% valid.

Finished taking the 604-461 Exams and got a whopping 1000/1000 score…The 82Q by Panjarakuttan is still much valid..many thanks again to Jose Diaz and the rest of Voicetut team. Will start to review real life/hands on CCNA VOICE for 6 months to enhance technical skills then on 2013, concentrate on CCNP Routing and Switching..best of luck to you guys 🙂

I haven’t had any luck finding any CCNA Voice practice labs other than some Packet Tracer stuff here and there. Packet Tracer is fine for CCNA R&S, but I am hesitant to use it for CCNA Voice. Does anyone know where I can get some practice labs for 640-461. I’m making up my own labs to use in my voice lab at home at the moment. Would like to get some labs that can help with learning and memorizing commands, there are a billion-trillion CLI commands in voice and it helps to have practice labs to actually sit down and type in the commands.

I have a really dumb question, but I need to ask so that I can rest my brain. I am installing a patch panel(cat6), Cat6 cabling, and (you guessed it) network jacks(cat6) throughout my house. I will be using a Cisco 3560 PoE Switch, PoE cameras and PoE IP Phones. Do I need a special PoE capable patch panel to do this? I know that I will be using all 8 wires of the Cat6 cable to make use of the PoE features, but I am unclear as to whether I can use a standard run of the mill (cat6 capable) patch panel or if I need to get a patch panel designed to be used with PoE? Dumb question I know, but I had to ask before I get started on this project.

a patch panel doesnt have anything to do with poe. you can use 5e wires and patch panels and the poe would still work. If you are going to use data and video along with the voice on the same line then the cat 6 gigabit would be a better idea.

No you won’t need a special patch panel for a PoE switches. You can opt for a mid span PoE panel if you have switches that are not PoE. I use that for APs on older 3750 switches where the power is injected at the mid span patch.

Hi Guys, I want to build a voice lab at home for the 640-461, I currently have a 2651XM running an IPVOICE IOS, so I can run CME both via CCP, GUI (installed on router) and CLI.

4 x 2950 switches
2 x 1841 routers
2 x 2651 routers
2 x 2620 routers
1 x 2514 router

I purchased a Cisco 2811 Router w/ CME 8, VWIC2-2MFT-T1, (PVDM)DSP2-16, and a Cisco 3560 PoE 24port Switch, and 2 Cisco 7960 IP Phones for my voice lab to start with.

I have had to add things as I have moved thru the the VoIP learning process, such as- FXS and FXO cards and 2- Cisco IP Phones. I have a 2621 router that I added a 2 port VWIC-2MFT-T1 card to practice config VoIP over WAN links, kinda like using a router as a Frame Relay Switch in a Frame Relay lab. I also have (not in use right now) 2-48port 2950 Sw and 2-24port 2950 SW, a 2910 Router that I use as a FRS, a Cisco 3640 Router, and a Cisco 2509 Access Server. The Access Server is a piece of equip I cannot live without. If you don’t have one, GET ONE, it will make your life so much easier.

I still need to get a Unity Express module (NM-CUE) for my 2811 router so that I can config voicemail to complete the lab. I will be using this equipment to change my home over from an analog phone system to a fully VoIP system as soon as I get the cat6 cable and jacks, patch panel, and wiring closet completed.

I have done a little research on getting CUCM and CUC set up, but it appears to be way out of my price range.

It appears the difficult part about Cisco-Voice is remembering all the commands. Cisco Voice (CCNA and CCNP) has a gazillion IOS commands to remember. There is a big market for CCNA-Voice and CCNP-Voice Technicians, and those jobs pay extremely well. I opted to go CCNA-Security after I got my CCNA and I wish I had gone CCNA-Voice instead. I interviewed for a job a few months back and didn’t get it because I didn’t know Voice, that won’t happen again.
